A fact of life as we know it is that all food is not good food. Eating, Drinking, and, Interacting with our environments expose us to many foreign elements. Including heavy metals, chemical toxins, medications, pesticides, herbicides, and a plethora of additives, hormones, and antibiotics. When we consume or ingest these foreign elements they quickly become invaders. So, these invaders will undoubtedly stress our body’s natural detoxification system. Because of this stress, it causes singular or multiple states of toxin buildup.
Toxins are fat-soluble and target areas like our brains, nerves, glands, liver, and digestive system for storage. It has long been said that “all diseases start in the gut” so it only makes sense to remove the invaders and start the healing there. The consequence of allowing these invaders to remain in the body will lead to the destruction of it. This destruction will include, progressive disease processes, gas, bloating, heartburn, constipation/diarrhea, and inflammation. Even weight gain, hormone imbalances, brain fog, loss of energy, and generalized discomfort and pain.
How toxin buildup affects your weight:
Toxins, or invaders, directly affect the organs and hormones involved in your metabolism these include insulin, leptin, ghrelin, thyroid, cortisol, and many others. These invaders also increase inflammatory mediators. So, these affect autoimmune response, insulin resistance and leptin resistance which is an appetite inhibitor. They will affect the mitochondrial function. That is responsible for generating most of the chemical energy needed to power the cells on a biochemical level. So, this results in reduced thermogenesis, and your ability to burn fat.
Toxins can even change the circadian rhythm and the autonomic nervous system.
Recognizing this information, we tailor our programs to help our patients get rid of the toxins in their system, thus furthering their journey to true health.
